Purpose Statement
As a Service Consultant, your role is to provide outstanding client service by understanding and meeting client needs through Capitec Bank’s Global One product offerings. Your aim will be to support clients in banking more efficiently while improving their overall financial wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing and exceeding client needs.
  • Promote Capitec’s products and services, ensuring clients understand their benefits.
  • Assist clients in navigating and using Capitec’s banking solutions to improve their financial outcomes.

Experience
Minimum:

  • 3 to 6 months of experience in client service within a retail, financial, or banking environment.
  • Candidates without experience may be considered if they hold a relevant tertiary qualification.

Ideal:

  • Over 1 year of experience in client service within a retail, financial, or banking environment.
  • Proven experience working in a sales and client-facing role.

Qualifications
Minimum:

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational qualification.

Preferred:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce or a related field.
  • Certification in Finance or Banking.

Knowledge
Minimum:

  • Basic understanding of retail and consumer service environments.
  • Strong numerical and calculation skills.

Ideal:

  • In-depth knowledge of Capitec Bank products, internal business processes, and organisational policies.
  • Familiarity with Branch Credit Granting Policy principles (BCGP).

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relationship management.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).

Conditions of Employment

  • Clear criminal and credit record.
  • Fingerprints must be detectable on Capitec Bank’s internal electronic system.
