Role Overview:

• Ensure exceptional customer service within the store, focusing on loading and arranging stock, labeling shelf prices, and maintaining cleanliness in the designated area of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage with all customers, understanding their requirements promptly.
• Provide accurate product advice and guidance to customers.
• Assist customers with any inquiries or concerns they may have about products.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and efficiently.
• Offer additional sales opportunities, such as suggesting complementary items like paintbrushes with paint purchases.
• Ensure smooth customer service by efficiently loading purchases without delays.
• Carefully load customers’ purchases without causing damage to the goods or their vehicle.
• Inform customers about additional services available, including delivery, glass cutting, and credit programs.
• Provide guidance on special orders, plan reading, and other specialized services offered.
• Participate in the VIC Customer Programme and maintain certification in Product Knowledge.
• Be consistently present and available within the designated aisle for customer assistance.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification or a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in English and the primary language spoken in the local area.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure.
