Position: Merchandiser Learnership
Location: Eveleigh, Gauteng (Checkers East Rand)
Work Schedule: 5 shifts per week (9 hours per shift)
Salary: R3500 per month

Overview

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Merchandiser Learnership program. This program provides hands-on training and mentorship, helping you develop valuable skills in the retail industry. As a Merchandiser, your role is to ensure that products are correctly displayed, well-organized, and attractively presented to boost sales and enhance the customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

Stock Management: Count and document stock to be merchandised, unpack received stock, and organize products for display.

Display Maintenance: Arrange and maintain displays according to planograms, ensuring products are attractively presented and priced correctly.

Product Presentation: Use creative ideas to design special displays for seasons or promotions, incorporating colors, props, and decorations.

Stock Control: Continuously monitor stock levels, remove old or damaged products, and ensure fresh products are displayed.

Customer Assistance: Advise customers on product usage and provide support by addressing complaints, queries, and requests.

Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align product displays with promotional strategies.

General Duties: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including storeroom management, and ensure pricing labels are accurate.


Requirements

  • Education: Matric certificate (National Senior Certificate or equivalent).
  • Experience: Fluent in English.
  • Proximity: Must live within 15km of the job location.
  • Smartphone: Must own a smartphone (minimum 10GB storage) for daily tasks.
  • Clear Record: No criminal record.

Preferences

  • South African Candidates: Preference will be given to local candidates.
  • Experience: Prior learnership experience is an advantage but not required.
