Overview:
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), through the Group Corporate & Shared Services Department, invites suitably qualified and unemployed graduates to apply for Internship opportunities. These internships will run for a period not exceeding eighteen (18) months and aim to provide meaningful workplace experience.
Position Details:
–Position Title: Intake and Registry
–Department: Office of the Ombudsman

–Duration: 18-Month Contract
–Stipend: R9 531.54 per month
–Location: Sappi Building, 48 Ameshoff, Braamfontein
Primary Function:
The role involves providing efficient customer service by logging and resolving reported customer or citizen complaints/queries. You will be required to meet or exceed targets set by the Office of the Ombudsman and ensure that all complaints comply with POPIA and Records Management standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage the end-to-end intake process for customer complaints.
-Interrogate complaints adequately, expertly, and empathetically using all available resources to resolve issues at first contact.
-Log all complaints/queries onto the Case Management System in line with Office of the Ombudsman standards.
-Take ownership of all logged complaints and manage customer expectations.
-Present new complaints with clear recommendations to the assessment committee during weekly meetings.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- National Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or higher) in:
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Municipal Administration
