About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and responsible individuals for the position of Delivery Driver (Code 14) to join our team at Clover’s Port Elizabeth branch. As a Delivery Driver, your primary role will be to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

-Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all road traffic regulations (AARTO) and company driver standards.

-Conduct routine vehicle checks, including pre- and post-trip inspections, and report any discrepancies, damages, or mechanical issues.

-Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the delivery vehicle.

-Follow designated route plans to ensure timely delivery of products.

-Deliver stock as per customer specifications, ensuring product integrity and adherence to temperature requirements.

  • Handle and control delivery equipment such as pallets and crates, and ensure proper stock counting and management.
  • Collect and secure customer payments when required, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
  • Comply with stock return procedures, including separation of good and bad stock, and maintaining cold chain integrity during return trips.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks such as verifying invoices, submitting documentation, and ensuring proper record-keeping of deliveries and returns.
  • Comply with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (NQF4)
  • Valid Code 14 motor vehicle license
  • Previous experience in a similar delivery driver role
  • Fluent in Business English
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, including overnight travel as needed
  • Knowledge of applicable driving procedures and stock management processes
