Overview
Sethren Holdings is hiring four (4) experienced Coal Wash Plant Operators to join its operations team in Mookane. The ideal candidates must have at least five years of hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and monitoring coal processing plants. This role plays a vital part in maintaining efficiency, safety, and quality in coal production.
Key Responsibilities
-Operate and monitor coal washing equipment (screens, cyclones, centrifuges, thickeners, flotation units)
-Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance of plant machinery
-Monitor and optimize plant performance and coal quality
-Keep accurate records of operations, downtime, and maintenance
-Troubleshoot process issues promptly
-Collaborate with maintenance and technical teams
-Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations
-Participate in plant efficiency improvement initiatives
Requirements
-Minimum 5 yearsβ experience in coal wash plant operations or similar field
-Strong knowledge of coal processing systems
-Hands-on technical experience with wash plant equipment
-Physically fit and able to work shifts
-Good communication and problem-solving skills
-Understanding of mining safety and environmental standards
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mineral Processing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (advantageous)
- Valid operating certifications
