A position for a Driver of Extra Heavy Motor Vehicles is available at our Kempton Park Depot. The role involves operating vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight of 15,000 kg or more, transporting goods to and from various locations, maintaining records of deliveries and collections, and performing routine vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and supervise the loading of the delivery vehicle.
- Verify that all goods loaded match the Delivery Notes and sign for the acceptance of the load.
- Check goods against the Delivery Note when offloading with the customer and ensure the customer signs the Delivery Note as Proof of Delivery (POD). List and have the customer sign for any short goods.
- Collect payment from customers for COD orders.
- Collect returns as specified on a Goods Return Voucher (GRV) when required.
- Conduct daily/weekly checks as per the Company’s Vehicle Check List, complete the checklist, and highlight any issues before leaving the Warehouse.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition at all times and report any defects or suspected defects promptly to the Depot/Stores/Dispatch Supervisor.

- Code 14 Driver’s License
