Court Judge Secretary – X19 Positions

Job Opportunity: Court Judge Secretary (19 positions available)

Contract Duration: 3 years

Salary Range: R308,154 – R362,994 per annum (Level 07), with a 37% supplement in lieu of benefits. A performance agreement is required.

Location: Gauteng Division of the High Court: Pretoria

Requirements:

-Grade 12 or equivalent.

-1-3 years of secretarial experience in a legal setting or as an office assistant.

-Valid driver’s license.

-LLB degree or minimum of 20 modules towards an LLB/Bcom Law Degree.

-Successful completion of a typing test for shortlisted candidates.

    Duties:

    -Screen and manage incoming and outgoing calls.

    -Schedule appointments and meetings for the Judge.

    -Prepare and organize court documents, including typing judgments.

    -Manage correspondence and file documents appropriately.

    -Assist visitors with inquiries.

    -Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing documents.

    -Procure necessary stationery for the Judge.

    -Ensure court files are prepared and up-to-date.

    -Verify files from various sections.

    -Update registers and templates as required.

    -Coordinate with stakeholders for judgment notifications.

    -Prepare court rolls and distribute them accordingly.

    -Receive, file, and verify Heads of Arguments.

    -Prepare the Judge’s bench book and ensure all necessary files are present for court proceedings.
