Bus Driver Position at Curro Academy Parkdene Combined

Overview: Curro Academy Parkdene Combined is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bus Driver to join our team. Responsibilities:
Learner Transportation:
-Drive a school bus along prescribed routes, adhering to time schedules.
-Pick up and drop off students at designated stops.
-Transport students and teachers on field trips, planning necessary routes and stops.
-Maintain order and discipline among student passengers according to district policy.
General Worker Duties:
-Perform general maintenance and facility support.
-Receive and address maintenance requests for facilities.
-Conduct daily inspections to ensure facilities are functioning properly.
-Complete necessary maintenance tasks, such as plumbing repairs.
-Inform the facilities manager of any required repairs.
-Maintain tools and manage maintenance consumables.
-Provide support for security and access control across the facilities.
-Assist with traffic management.
-Maintain the garden, including grass and flower beds.
-Report gardening needs to the facilities manager.
Health and Safety:
- Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of the assigned vehicle.
- Report mechanical repairs as needed.
- Service buses with fuel, oil, and other essentials.
- Perform periodic safety drills and complete necessary reports.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness to ensure a safe operating condition.
- Attend safety, first aid, and training meetings as required.
Record Keeping:
- Complete periodic mileage reports and other documentation, including passenger counts.
Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position, with school bus driving experience preferred.
- Presentable appearance and good communication skills.
- Clear criminal record.
