Responsibilities:

  1. Learner Transportation:
  • Drive a school transportation vehicle along designated routes, adhering to time schedules.
  • Pick up and drop off students at designated stops.
  • Transport students and teachers on field trips, planning routes and stops as needed.
  • Maintain order and discipline among student passengers according to school policies.
  1. General Worker Duties:
  • Perform general maintenance and provide facility support.
  • Receive and address maintenance requests promptly.
  • Conduct daily checks on facilities to ensure proper functioning.
  • Complete maintenance tasks such as plumbing as required.
  • Inform facilities manager of any necessary repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness across the facility.
  • Assist with security, access control, and traffic management.
  1. Garden Maintenance:
  • Review daily work roster for assigned gardening duties.
  • Maintain grass and flower beds to ensure an attractive environment.
  • Clean and maintain gardens throughout the facility.
  • Inform facilities manager of any garden requirements.
  • Maintain gardening tools and equipment.
  1. Health and Safety:
  • Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of assigned vehicle.
  • Report mechanical issues promptly and accurately.
  • Service buses with fuel, oil, and other essentials.
  • Perform safety drills as required by law and maintain necessary records.
  • Ensure cleanliness of vehicle for safe operation.
  • Attend safety, first aid, and training meetings as required.
  1. Record Keeping:
  • Complete periodic mileage and passenger count reports.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to education and uphold school values and ethos.

Requirements:

  • Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Presentable with excellent communication skills.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Personal commitment to education and willingness to contribute to the school’s values and ethos.
