Overview
Curro Century City is seeking a reliable and dedicated Bus Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting students safely to and from school, on field trips, and to other designated locations. This position also includes general maintenance support duties to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for our learners and staff. Key Responsibilities
Learner Transportation
-Operate a school bus along prescribed routes, adhering to schedules.
-Safely pick up and drop off students at assigned stops.
-Transport students and teachers for field trips, planning routes as necessary.
-Enforce school policies to maintain order and discipline among student passengers.
General Worker Duties
-Perform general maintenance and facility support, responding to requests as needed.
-Conduct daily facility checks, performing repairs or maintenance tasks, including plumbing.
-Inform the facilities manager about any necessary repairs or maintenance supplies.
-Maintain tools and ensure they are organized and in working order.
-Support security and access control measures within the facility.
-Assist in managing traffic on school grounds.
Garden Maintenance
-Maintain lawns and flower beds, ensuring the facility’s landscaping is well-kept.
-Check garden consumables and report requirements to the facilities manager.
-Clean and maintain the garden using appropriate tools and techniques.
Health and Safety
-Conduct daily safety and operational checks on the assigned vehicle.
-Report any mechanical issues and refuel as necessary.
-Perform regular safety drills, complying with legal requirements.
-Ensure cleanliness of the bus for safe operation.
-Attend safety, first aid, and training sessions as required.
Record Keeping
-Complete mileage logs, passenger counts, and other necessary reports as required.
Requirements
–Education: Matric (Grade 12)
–License: Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
–Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role
–Skills: Excellent communication skills, presentable appearance
–Other: Clear criminal record
