Overview: Cush Developments is seeking an experienced and skilled Twin-Steer Truck Driver to join our team in Pretoria, Gauteng. This is a full-time position that requires a highly qualified individual with a valid Code 14 driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating twin-steer trucks, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in their driving practices.

Responsibilities:

-Safely operate twin-steer trucks to transport goods and materials to designated destinations.

-Ensure the proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo in compliance with safety standards.

-Strictly adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations, maintaining a high level of driving performance.

-Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all trips, including delivery logs, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance reports.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and on-site personnel to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that arise.
  • Uphold company policies and safety protocols consistently throughout all operations.

Requirements:

  • Licenses: Valid Code 14 driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience driving twin-steer trucks, with a proven track record of safe and efficient operation.
  • References: Must provide contactable references from previous employers.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for the operation of heavy vehicles.
