Overview
A leading logistics and freight company is seeking a detail-oriented Data Capturer to accurately process freight documentation and maintain records in the Freightware system. The role supports operational, administrative, and customer service functions to ensure smooth cargo movement across the country.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Check daily manifests for scanning inconsistencies.
- Update order statuses in the system.
- Capture local delivery manifests for daily deliveries.
- Email branches regarding returns and damaged goods.
- Capture and process all consolidation documents and manifests.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
- Create manifests for deliveries or collections.
- Inspect parcels for damage and ensure correct system booking.
- Debrief Linehaul manifests and collection bookings.
Administration & Reporting
- Capture daily collection and delivery reports.
- Confirm customer details before dispatch.
- Verify service type prior to delivery.
- Double-check manifest details for accuracy.
- Address scanning inconsistencies in the system.
Customer Relations
- Liaise with the Customer Service Department to resolve queries.
- Follow up on issues related to damages, collections, and returns.
General
- Assist with various operational functions as needed.
Entry Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good typing speed with high accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail.
