DENDUSTRI SA (PTY) LTD is seeking a dedicated and experienced Code 14 Truck Driver with a valid PDP to join our team. The position is permanent and full-time, offering a crucial role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Load and secure goods using a forklift as per instructions.
- Offload goods at designated locations.
- Perform short-distance driving while adhering to traffic laws.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with dispatchers.
- Secure and balance goods within the vehicle.
- Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure all mechanical issues are resolved before driving.
- Plan routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
- Report any defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
- Perform daily truck maintenance tasks such as refueling and cleaning.
- Interact with customers professionally.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports.
- Record cargo deliveries and verify load accuracy.
- Adhere to Health & Safety standards, including the OHS Act and Regulations, WSWP, and risk assessments.
Requirements
- Valid Code 14 driver’s permit.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the truck industry.
- Forklift license is advantageous.
