Overview
Eskom’s Peaking Operating Unit is offering a Learning Programme for two (2) Learner Plant Operators at the Drakensberg Power Station. This opportunity is open to both internal and external candidates, providing an avenue for career development through structured learning and on-the-job training. Successful applicants will gain valuable skills and experience in the field of plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in both institutionalized and practical, hands-on training designed to develop the skills needed for a Plant Operator role.
- Perform assigned tasks under supervision to build technical expertise and operational proficiency.
- Follow Eskom’s training guidelines and protocols to gain a full understanding of plant operation procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
- Qualifications:
- Fully completed National N6 Certificate with Trade Subjects or
- National Diploma / BTech / BEng / BSc Eng (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics)
- National N4/N5 Certificate with Trade Subjects
- Grade 12 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Physical Science
- 40% in English
- N3 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Science
- 40% in English
- NCV Level 4 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Science
- 40% in English
