Job Summary

The Driver will be responsible for operating and maintaining Government vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient transportation services while maintaining high standards of vehicle care and reporting.

Main Duties:

  1. Driving and Vehicle Care:
    • Safely operate Government vehicles for official duties.
    • Take responsibility for the proper care of vehicles, including ensuring roadworthiness and addressing basic mechanical needs.
  2. Logbook Maintenance:
    • Accurately record vehicle trips, mileage, and fuel usage in the logbook.
  3. Vehicle Maintenance and Cleanliness:
    • Ensure vehicles are clean and maintained in good condition.
    • Regularly inspect vehicles to identify any mechanical or functional issues.
  4. Service Scheduling and Reporting:
    • Inform the Transport Officer about service due dates for the vehicles.
    • Report any damages, losses, or incidents related to the vehicles promptly.

Job Specifications:

  • Education: COSC/LGCSE Certificate.
  • License: Valid driver’s license with Public Service Vehicle (PSV) endorsement.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to drive safely across all areas of Lesotho and neighboring countries.
    • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics.
