Overview
The Disaster Management Authority (DMA) invites suitably qualified and experienced Basotho to apply for the position of Driver, which will be based at any location within Lesotho. The selected candidate will report directly to the Assistant Administration Officer and ensure proper transportation services, upkeep of Government vehicles, and support to DMA operations.
Key Responsibilities
-Drive and maintain government vehicles assigned to DMA
-Keep vehicle logbooks updated with accurate trip records
-Ensure the cleanliness and roadworthiness of all vehicles
-Monitor service schedules and notify supervisors of due maintenance
-Report any vehicle incidents, damages, or loss of parts immediately
-Maintain safe driving practices at all times and ensure security of vehicle contents
Minimum Requirements
-A Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC)
-A valid Lesotho driverβs license
-At least 3 years of proven driving experience
–Government vehicle driving certification issued by the Traffic Department
Additional Requirements
-Willingness and ability to travel throughout Lesotho and neighbouring countries
-High sense of responsibility and discipline
-Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
