Durbanville Wine Safari is looking for a dependable and customer-oriented Hop-on-Hop-off Tour Bus Driver to join our team. This role involves providing safe, enjoyable, and informative transportation for visitors exploring the beautiful Durbanville Wine Valley. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about customer service and knowledgeable about the local area.
Key Responsibilities
-Safely drive a designated hop-on-hop-off tour bus along a fixed route, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
-Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus at designated stops, providing a smooth and welcoming experience.
-Respond to passenger inquiries, offering itinerary suggestions, directions, and general information about the tour.
-Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the bus interior, ensuring it is well-stocked with promotional materials and visitor guides.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition, and promptly report any issues to management.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, actively seeking ways to enhance the passenger experience and address any concerns professionally.
- Collaborate effectively with tour guides and operations staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
- Valid Code 10 license and Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations.
- Proven experience in passenger transportation, preferably within tourism or sightseeing.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with a clear and engaging speaking style.
- Strong knowledge of local history, attractions, and points of interest in the Durbanville area.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and prioritize passenger safety and satisfaction.
