Overview
Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Assore Limited, is a leading Chrome Ore producer based in the Limpopo Province, approximately 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort. We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Vehicle Operator to join our Plant & Logistics Division, reporting to the Supervisor Machines or a designated nominee.
Responsibilities
-Operate heavy-duty mining equipment in designated areas to support production or mining activities, following set operational standards.
-Conduct pre-use inspections of vehicles to ensure they are safe and ready for operation.
-Monitor equipment performance, identify any issues, and report deviations or defects.
-Perform daily Mini Risk Assessments to ensure safety on the job.
-Assist with ad hoc tasks using equipment like forklifts and boom attachments.
-Adhere to safety procedures and best practices at all times.
-Park heavy vehicles in allocated areas, follow the lock-out procedure, and return keys to Security after use.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 10 (Standard 8) Certificate.
- Valid Code B (08) Driver’s License.
Experience
- At least two years of hands-on experience as a Competent Operator on relevant mining equipment.
