Overview
Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine (Pty) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Assore Limited, is a leading producer of Chrome Ore located in the Limpopo Province, approximately 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort. We are currently looking for a skilled Instrumentation Mechanician to join our Plant Engineering Division, reporting to the Instrumentation Technician or a designated nominee.
Responsibilities
-Ensure the optimum availability and reliability of equipment to support the continuous improvement of plant operations.
-Accurately report any deviations in process equipment to the supervisor to meet or exceed equipment availability and reliability targets.
-Calibrate, repair, and maintain control instrumentation and related equipment to ensure they operate within established standards.
-Perform root cause analysis to resolve equipment performance issues and reduce operational costs.
-Assist in the commissioning of modifications and projects, ensuring all changes are documented properly.
-Execute asset care activities as required by procedures, providing timely feedback and documentation to the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Standard 10) Certificate.
- N3 Instrumentation Engineering qualification.
- Trade Test Certificate as an Instrumentation Mechanician.
- Valid Code 08 (B) Driver’s License.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in the relevant trade.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in an Automated Processing Plant.
