Overview:
Ebotse Trading is seeking a responsible and reliable Code 10 Driver to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and timely transportation of goods or passengers, maintain vehicle standards, and adhere to company policies and safety regulations. This position offers a temporary to permanent opportunity, with competitive pay ranging between R7,000 – R12,500 per month.
Responsibilities:
-Safely operate assigned vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
-Transport goods or passengers to designated locations as per schedule.
-Load and unload goods when necessary.
-Perform routine vehicle inspections and minor maintenance.
-Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to delivery schedules and meet deadlines.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles both inside and outside.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure the protection of passengers, goods, and the vehicle.
- Handle unexpected situations such as traffic delays, breakdowns, or accidents.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and passengers.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or violations promptly.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance driving skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Clean driving record with no history of accidents or violations.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws, routes, and geographical areas.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects when required.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful or emergency situations.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems or mapping apps.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug tests if required.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a professional driver is preferred but not mandatory.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing work demands.
