Overview:
We are offering an exciting learnership opportunity for aspiring Plant Operators. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience and training for individuals with a strong foundation in engineering disciplines. The successful candidates will gain valuable skills in plant operations, preparing them for future careers in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering fields.
Responsibilities:
-Participate in a structured learning program that combines theoretical instruction with practical on-site training.
-Assist in the monitoring and operation of plant machinery and equipment under supervision.
-Conduct routine inspections and report any operational issues to supervisors.
-Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, or chemical systems within the plant.
-Learn and apply safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
-Complete all assigned tasks, projects, and assessments as part of the learnership curriculum.
-Collaborate with team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
-Maintain accurate records and documentation of learning experiences and operational activities.
Requirements:
- N6 qualification with Maths and Science, or
- National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or
- B Tech, B Eng, or BSc Eng in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A keen interest in plant operations and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
- Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
