Position: Senior Storeperson x 17 (Distribution)

Overview:
We are currently seeking 17 Senior Storepersons to join our Distribution team in various locations, including New Germany, Vryheid, Empangeni, and Welkom. The successful candidates will provide efficient warehouse services, ensuring proper handling, storage, and distribution of materials. This role is within the Materials Management department and part of the Central East Cluster.
Key Responsibilities:
-Carry out warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
-Conduct preservation activities to maintain the quality of stock.
-Operate material handling equipment as needed.
-Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and Health & Safety regulations.
-Perform administrative tasks related to stock management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification:
NCV4/NSC3/Grade 12 at NQF level 4 with 120 credits. - Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in stores and stock management.
Skills and Competencies:
Leadership and Behavioral:
- Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and mentor teams.
- Accountable, proactive, punctual, consistent, and professional.
- Strong integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Industrial Relations, and Quality Control.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and legal liability.
Skills:
- Proficient in operating material handling equipment and solving problems.
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of SAP.
- Strong communication and numeracy skills.
- Completion of the Warehouse Skills Program (internal course).
Attributes:
- High level of mobility required.
