Key Responsibilities

  • Training and Assessment: Deliver theoretical and practical training in lifting, cranage, and rigging. Conduct assessments and facilitate learner certification.
  • Training Requests: Review and align training requests with operational requirements.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Assist in planning and scheduling training sessions. Ensure training materials are ready and available.
  • Material Review: Participate in the review of training materials.
  • Compliance: Ensure training activities comply with legislation and Glencore policies.
  • Pre-tests: Conduct assessments to identify learning gaps before training delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to address training needs and solutions.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate and timely internal and external reports related to training.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Essential:
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Development or related field, OR
  • Grade 12 with a Trade Certificate and Certificate in Occupational Directed ETD Practices.
  • Assessor Certificate.
  • Assessor registration for Mobile Lifting Machines with TETA.
  • Desirable:
  • Moderator Certificate.
  • Moderator registration for Mobile Lifting Machines with TETA.
  • Valid Lifting Machine certificates.

Experience

  • Essential:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the mining industry.
  • Experience with Mobile Lifting Machines (e.g., Truck Mounted Crane, Overhead Crane, Mobilift, Telescopic Boom Handler, Forklift, Mobile Elevated Work Platform / Cherry Picker Mobile Cranes, Basic Rigging).
  • Desirable:
  • Experience in the Engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Understanding of business processes related to lifting, cranage, and rigging equipment.
