Overview
Gold One Group Limited is seeking a qualified Dump Truck Operator to join our team at Brakpan, Gauteng. This is a permanent role, ideal for an individual with underground mining experience who is safety-focused and dedicated to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
-Operate rear-tipping dump trucks efficiently and safely.
-Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections, completing all relevant checklists.
-Haul and tip ore to stockpiles, designated areas, and conveyor belts.
-Monitor and assist with preventative and breakdown maintenance, including refueling, oiling, and lubricating machinery.
-Conduct weekly machine services as required.
-Report any mechanical faults or inconsistencies to the supervisor and control room promptly.
-Adhere strictly to Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) standards and Gold One’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely.”
-Follow all instructions from supervisors and ensure work is carried out to the required standards.
Requirements
- Grade 11 or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Code 08/10 driver’s license.
- MQA Competency B Certificate and other relevant qualifications or licenses.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an underground trackless mining environment.
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official South African language.
- Must be a South African citizen with a clear criminal record.
- Declared medically fit for the position by our Occupational Health Practitioner (OHP).
