Overview:

Rand Water is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Driver to join the Shared Services team based in Zwartkopjes. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles and truck-mounted cranes in compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

-Safely drive and operate heavy vehicles as per K53 regulations and Rand Water policies.

-Load, tie, balance, and transport materials and equipment securely.

-Perform vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness before and after use.

-Assist with the daily/weekly collection and disposal of garden and domestic refuse.

-Report vehicle incidents, mechanical faults, or irregularities to the supervisor.

-Operate truck-mounted cranes when required.

-Support delivery and collection tasks across multiple sites.

-Follow safety and operational procedures at all times.


    Minimum Requirements:

    -Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

    -Valid Code EC1 driver’s license (must pass Rand Water’s K53 driver test).

    -Minimum 2 years of experience in driving heavy vehicles.

    -Experience operating a truck-mounted crane.

    Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).

    • Safe loading/unloading and material positioning techniques.
    • Job planning and logistics procedures.
    • Workplace safety protocols.
