Overview:
Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in delivery and logistics while contributing to a growing herb garden business? We are looking for a motivated and reliable Delivery and Logistics Intern to join our team and play a key role in ensuring that our fresh, high-quality herbs are efficiently delivered to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
-Coordinate and manage deliveries to shops like Pick n Pay, Super Spars, Sefalana, and other clients, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
-Plan and optimize delivery routes to minimize time and costs, ensuring efficiency in every trip.
-Assist in packaging, labeling, and preparing herbs for transportation to ensure proper packing and clear labeling.
-Safeguard the freshness and quality of herbs during transportation.
-Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, inventory, and logistics activities for smooth operations.
-Communicate with clients to confirm orders, delivery times, and address any issues or special requests.
-Support stock management by ensuring sufficient herb supplies are available for deliveries and replenishments.
-Assist with organizing storage areas, unloading deliveries, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly.
-Take responsibility for harvesting and packaging herbs when the Harvesting and Packaging Specialist is unavailable.
-Perform deweeding and watering tasks in the absence of the Horticulturalist to maintain the herb garden’s upkeep.
Requirements:
-Aged 20–30 years.
-Reside in Ledumadumane, Block 6, or nearby Smodern Ward in Mogoditshane.
-Strong organizational and time-management skills.
-Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
-No formal qualifications are required.
-A Certificate in Horticulture or a related field will be an added advantage.
