Professional Coach Driver – Long Distance

Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Professional Coach Drivers to join our team. As a Coach Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of passengers over long distances.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the safety of the coach and its passengers.
  • Drive in accordance with K53 requirements and company policies, prioritizing passenger safety.
  • Load and unload luggage with care and efficiency.
  • Provide excellent passenger care and maintain proper etiquette throughout the journey.
  • Conduct necessary tasks en-route, including ticket validation and onboard sales.
  • Maintain onboard administration, including ticketing and passenger validation.
  • Uphold coach hygiene standards at all times.
  • Manage breakdown situations efficiently and effectively.
  • Enforce and adhere to safety requirements to ensure a secure travel environment.
  • Utilize prescribed systems effectively to optimize operations.

Job Related Requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Possess a valid Code 14 License and PrDP.
  • Clear speech and bilingual proficiency (Mother tongue and English).
  • Own cellular telephone and reliable transportation (or access to suitable public transport).
  • Reside within a 45 km radius of Pretoria Depot.
  • No history of serious motor vehicle accidents (accident-free).
  • Provide valid reference numbers and names of former employments.
  • Willingness to undergo SAPS clearance and license verification.
  • Willingness to attend a 3-week training program.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of Grade 10 (Standard 8) education.
  • 3-5 years of long-distance driving experience (400km+).
  • Compliance with COVID-19 precautions, including the use of provided personal protective equipment, temperature screenings, social distancing guidelines, and sanitization procedures.
