We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Professional Long-Distance Coach Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties essential to the safe and efficient operation of our long-distance coach services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure the safety and roadworthiness of the coach.
- Drive in accordance with K53 requirements and company policies, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort.
- Assist with luggage loading and ensure proper stowage.
- Provide exceptional passenger care and adhere to etiquette standards.
- Perform en-route tasks as required.
- Handle onboard administration tasks such as passenger ticket validation and sales.
- Maintain coach hygiene standards to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for passengers.
- Manage breakdown situations efficiently and effectively.
- Enforce and adhere to all safety requirements and protocols.
- Utilize prescribed systems effectively to optimize service delivery.
- Perform all duties in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Possession of a valid Code 14 License and PrDP.
- Clear and articulate speech.
- Access to own cellular telephone.
- Reliable transportation or access to suitable public transport.
- Residence within a 45 km radius of the Pretoria Depot.
- Proficiency in both English and the candidate’s mother tongue.
- No history of serious motor vehicle accidents (accident-free record).
- Ability to provide valid reference numbers and names from former employments.
- Willingness to undergo SAPS clearance and verification of licenses.
- Commitment to attending a 3-week training program.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Minimum of Grade 10 (Standard 8) qualification.
- 3 to 5 years of long-distance driving experience (400km or more).

- Personal protective equipment will be provided or required.
- Temperature screenings will be conducted.
- Social distancing guidelines will be implemented.
- Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures will be in place.
