We are currently recruiting for a Dental Receptionist at our Intercare Glenfair Medical and Dental Centre located in Lynnwood, Pretoria.

As a Dental Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our patients. Your responsibilities will align with our overall business strategy, providing excellent customer service while handling administrative and payment tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, efficient, and professional telephone services for patient inquiries.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary forms, ensuring all documentation complies with internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage the patient journey from booking, arrival, and payment using the relevant system.
  • Direct patients to the appropriate services, locations, or healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, in accordance with POPIA regulations.
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean and organized.
  • Refer emergency cases to the nurse’s station following established protocols.
  • Assist patients with basic account inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Collect co-payments and outstanding account balances according to Intercare’s policies.
  • Follow daily cash-up and banking procedures accurately.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualification: Grade 12
  • Previous experience in a customer-focused environment (e.g., reception) is advantageous.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Experience with the GoodX system is a plus.
  • HPCSA registration as a Dental Assistant will be advantageous.
