Job Overview
Jaysons Gas is seeking an experienced and reliable Code 10 Driver with a valid Dangerous Goods Permit (DGP) to join our team. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent, depending on performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting valuable shipments, ensuring compliance with all road and safety regulations.
Requirements
–Valid Code 10 Driver’s License
–Valid DGP (Dangerous Goods Permit) and PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
-3-5 years of proven driving experience
-Fluent in English, with strong comprehension skills
-Excellent numerical skills
-Trustworthy, responsible, and of sober habits
-Secondary education (matric or equivalent)
-Experience driving vehicles ranging from 1-ton to 12-ton (single diff)
-Ability to work overtime, weekends, and some public holidays when needed
-Experience navigating tight spaces with larger vehicles
-Traceable references (no cellphone numbers; reachable contact numbers required)
Responsibilities
-Safely operate vehicles of various tonnage sizes
-Transport dangerous goods while adhering to all safety and legal guidelines
-Perform duties in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that valuable shipments are handled with care
-Work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required
