Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager (TRIM) is inviting applications for 10 Young Professional-in-Training (YPT) opportunities based in Johannesburg and Parktown. This structured two-year graduate development programme is designed to equip unemployed graduates with institutional knowledge and practical workplace experience to enhance long-term employability.
This opportunity is open to unemployed South African graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 who have completed a recognised qualification and have no prior work experience in their field of study.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that HR receives the application before the closing date.
Programme Overview
The Young Professional-in-Training programme runs for 24 months and includes:
- Structured mentorship
- Rotational exposure across functional areas
- On-the-job training
- Formal performance assessments every six months
- Workplace integration within TRIM departments
The objective is to build practical experience in rail infrastructure management and related operational functions.
Minimum Requirements
- B Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6 or higher)
- Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain (as per programme requirements)
- No prior work experience in the relevant field
- South African citizen
- Aged between 18 and 35 years
Applicants must have completed their qualification at an accredited University or University of Technology registered with the Department of Higher Education & Training.
