Overview

The Limpopo Department of Health invites applications for 350 Temporary Malaria Spray Operator positions across five districts. Successful applicants will support malaria control efforts by conducting indoor spraying, environmental surveillance, and related operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Mix insecticides and handle spray equipment safely.
• Assist households with property preparation before spraying.
• Conduct indoor spraying and water treatment.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of malaria stations, vehicles, and equipment.
• Capture data and complete spray operation records.
• Participate in community and environmental surveillance activities.

Entry Requirements

• Minimum of Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
• Basic reading, writing, and calculation skills.
• Physically fit to carry spray equipment.
• Ability to work with chemicals.
• Applicants must be unemployed, not receiving any government grant or stipend, and not enrolled in full-time studies.
• Female applicants must not be pregnant or breastfeeding (pregnancy testing will be conducted before and during the contract).
