The Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs (DARDLEA) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for 24 Cleaner vacancies across various district offices and veterinary clinics in Mpumalanga. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across departmental premises.

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 / ABET or equivalent qualification (as recognized by SAQA)
  • Cleaning experience will be an added advantage
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Skills and Competencies:

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Familiarity with vacuum cleaners, polishers, pressure cleaners
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general and routine cleaning in and around offices and departmental facilities
  • Clean hallways, toilets, dustbins, windows, floors, and furniture
  • Maintain and manage cleaning equipment and materials
  • Report any damages, defects, or areas needing special attention to the supervisor
  • Perform additional duties as instructed by the supervisor
