Overview:
Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is urgently looking for a reliable and energetic Van Assistant based in the Vaal area. The successful candidate will assist the Van Driver in delivering FMCG products efficiently and professionally while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to delivery protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist with loading and unloading goods onto and off the delivery vehicle
-Handle all products with care to avoid damage during transit
-Verify delivery documentation, including delivery notes and customer signatures
-Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery van and cargo
-Help navigate delivery routes and support time management on deliveries
-Check and confirm product quantities and quality prior to departure
-Communicate courteously and professionally with customers on delivery sites
-Assist in resolving any issues related to deliveries when required
-Adhere to all health and safety regulations throughout the delivery process
-Report discrepancies, damages, or incidents to the driver or supervisor promptly
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric
- Experience: Prior experience in deliveries, warehousing, or logistics (especially FMCG) will be advantageous
- Skills:
- Understanding of delivery documentation and basic inventory processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
- Additional: Must have a clean criminal record
- Residency: Must reside in or near the Vaal area
