Salary: R193,359 per annum (plus 37% in lieu of benefits)
Overview:
The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking reliable and responsible individuals to fill three Messenger/Driver positions at the Head Office in Pretoria. This position is ideal for individuals with a valid driverโs license, good interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of document handling and transport responsibilities within the public sector.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 (Junior Certificate)
- Valid driverโs license
- No prior work experience required
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with departmental policies, the Public Service Act, and procedures relevant to Ministry operations
- Interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Computer literacy
- Good driving skills, time management, and ability to manage conflict
Key Duties:
- Collect and deliver official documents and correspondence (e.g., from post offices, departmental offices)
- Transport employees, Ministerial guests, and advisors to and from designated locations
- Render general support functions within the office of the Minister
- Maintain and apply knowledge of relevant government policies and procedures
