Overview:
A challenging opportunity currently exists for a Cleaner at Groenkloof National Park. The successful candidate will report directly to the Officer: Facilities and be responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards in the parkโ€™s administrative facilities.

Position Purpose:
To provide daily cleaning services and support functions across various facilities, ensuring a hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

-Clean offices, ablution facilities, reception areas, and open spaces daily

-Prepare boardrooms for meetings and arrange refreshments

-Report and follow up on facility abnormalities

-Handle lost property according to procedures

-Empty waste bins and transport waste to collection points

-Control and manage cleaning materials

-Maintain high hygiene and cleaning standards

-Follow emergency procedures and relieve schedules as required

-Replenish consumables (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.)

-Assist in stock issuing, receiving, and stocktaking

-Support with other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

-Grade 12 (Matric)

-1 to 2 years of relevant cleaning experience

-Experience with stock-taking processes

-Knowledge of First Aid and OHS regulations

-Good hygiene practices and attention to detail

-Punctual, responsible, and presentable

-Ability to perform under pressure

-Must comply with OHS regulations
