Overview:

Clicks Steeldale is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic Qualified) to join the dispensary team. The successful candidate will support pharmaceutical care services and perform daily dispensary administrative duties while upholding the highest standards of legal and ethical compliance.

Responsibilities:

-Deliver high standards of customer service and pharmaceutical care within scope of practice.

-Manage dispensary administration efficiently and accurately.

-Assist with stock control and repacking of medication as per standard operating procedures.

-Compound medications accurately under the supervision of a pharmacist.

-Provide general health advice to customers.

-Maintain cleanliness and merchandising standards within the dispensary.

-Perform ad hoc duties in line with operational needs.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

-Essential: Grade 12 with Mathematics

-Essential: Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Qualified or Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant

-Desirable: Previous experience in a pharmaceutical retail environment

Knowledge and Skills:

-Knowledge of over-the-counter and health products

-SAPC regulations and legal compliance

-High attention to detail and accuracy in calculations

-IT system proficiency (MS Office and SAP systems)

-Ethical conduct and professional integrity
