Overview
Pick n Pay is seeking to hire over 20 responsible and physically fit Warehouse/Stockroom Assistants to support the smooth operation of our stockrooms across South Africa. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing stock, organising storage areas, and ensuring accurate inventory handling.
Key Responsibilities
-Receive, unpack, and check deliveries against invoices
-Store goods in designated locations using proper handling techniques
-Ensure the stockroom is clean, organised, and meets safety standards
-Rotate stock according to FIFO principles to reduce wastage
-Pick, pack, and prepare items for store floor replenishment
-Conduct stock counts and assist in inventory accuracy
-Report discrepancies, damages, or short deliveries to the supervisor
-Operate trolleys and handling equipment safely
-Support front-of-house teams by ensuring timely product availability
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 (Grade 12 advantageous)
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Physically fit and capable of handling heavy stock
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Experience in stockroom, warehouse, or retail environment is advantageous
