Remuneration:
- Institution Phase: R4500 per month (stipend)
- Probation Phase (Post Training): R238,629 per annum (salary notch)
Overview:
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is offering 2025/2026 Police Trainee Programme opportunities for residents of the Free State. The programme provides comprehensive training in law enforcement, equipping candidates to serve the community as Constables after successful completion.
This 21-month programme is an excellent opportunity for dedicated and disciplined individuals to start a career in policing.
Minimum Requirements:
-South African citizen aged 18โ35 years
-Grade 12 / Matric qualification (certified copy required)
-Medically, physically, and psychologically fit
-No criminal record or pending charges
-No visible tattoos while in uniform
-Not previously dismissed from public service for misconduct
-Must be willing to serve anywhere in South Africa
-Should not have participated in any previous SAPS Trainee Programme
Core Functions:
- Prevent, combat, and investigate crime
- Maintain law and public order
- Protect citizens and their property
- Enforce the laws of the Republic
Preference Will Be Given To:
- Candidates with a valid light motor vehicle driverโs license
- Candidates with relevant tertiary qualifications (NQF 6 or higher) in Policing, Law, Criminology, or Forensics
