This senior leadership role requires a combination of business acumen, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of the equestrian world to manage and grow operations in the Okavango Delta.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team to provide an exceptional guest experience.
-Oversee all operational aspects, including logistics, horse care, guest services, staff training, and safety protocols.
-Ensure the smooth running of safari operations from planning to execution.
-Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
-Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement long-term operational strategies.
-Maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and partners.
-Uphold the highest standards of safety, ethics, and environmental sustainability in all aspects of the business.
The Ideal Candidate
-A business degree or equivalent, combined with strong experience in operations management.
-Proven experience in equestrian management, with relevant qualifications or hands-on experience in horse care and handling.
-A strategic thinker with the ability to lead a team and make key operational decisions.
-Experience in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is essential.
-Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both guests and staff.
-A passion for conservation, wildlife, and adventure.
-Ability to thrive in a remote and challenging environment.
