Overview

FNB Lesotho is recruiting two qualified and motivated Internal Auditors to join its Internal Audit team. This role is responsible for auditing governance, financial, business, and operational processes within the FirstRand Group. The ideal candidates will contribute to enhancing the control environment and improving overall efficiency through insightful audits and data-driven approaches.


Position Purpose

To assess the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls at divisional and business unit levels, while promoting innovation and continuous improvement in audit processes.


Key Responsibilities

-Gain a thorough understanding of the control environment, including IT, financial controls, and risk management frameworks.

-Use data analytics (DA) to inform audit planning and create efficiencies in audit execution.

-Conduct audit fieldwork in line with internal quality standards and approved work programs.

-Evaluate governance, risk management practices, and internal controls for adequacy and effectiveness.

-Identify and recommend innovative solutions to enhance audit processes and client operations.

-Stay informed on industry trends, legislation, best practices, and technological changes impacting internal audit functions.


Minimum Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.

-2โ€“3 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services sector.

-Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualifications will be an added advantage.
