Overview
The City of Johannesburg is recruiting Data Capturers and Cleaners under the 2025 Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). This initiative creates temporary work opportunities aimed at reducing unemployment, particularly among youth, women, and persons with disabilities. Successful applicants will gain valuable short-term work experience, learn workplace skills, and contribute to improving city services.
1. Data Capturer โ EPWP Administration
Location: 66 Jorissen Street, Jorissen Place, Braamfontein
Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizen residing within the City of Johannesburg jurisdiction.
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 monthsโ admin or data capturing experience.
- Knowledge of EPWPRS (advantageous).
- Must pass a computer-based assessment.
- Priority given to youth (18โ35) and women.
- Persons with disabilities encouraged to apply (proof required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and maintain EPWP data accurately.
- Assist with compiling reports.
- Perform administrative duties related to EPWP processes.
- Support coordination of programme activities.
Skills Required:

Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizen residing within the City of Johannesburg jurisdiction.
- Grade 10 (Grade 12 advantageous).
- No cleaning experience required.
- Persons with disabilities encouraged to apply (proof required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum offices and meeting rooms.
- Empty bins and manage waste removal.
- Assist with beverage preparation during meetings/workshops.
