Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting 13 Cashiers, Casual Cashiers, Cosmetics Cashiers and Frontline Supervisors across various new and existing store locations. This is an exciting opportunity for customer-focused individuals to join South Africaโ€™s leading retail pharmacy group and deliver world-class service at the point of sale.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Accurately process transactions, returns, exchanges, and loyalty card transactions.
  • Ensure correct cash handling, reconciliation, and security of all daily takings.
  • Monitor sales, promotions, and turnover targets.
  • Adhere to company operating procedures, policies, and security standards.
  • Support and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and management.
  • For Frontline Supervisors: oversee cashier teams, authorise voids and refunds, and support daily store operations.

Requirements & Skills

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Minimum 6 monthsโ€™ cashier/till operations experience.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Sound numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good command of English (written & spoken).
  • Basic customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Clear credit and criminal record.

Advantageous:

  • A third additional language.
