Overview

Clicks Group, South Africa’s leading health and beauty retailer, is recruiting Shop Assistant Cashiers / Festive Casuals for the Dolphin Coast and surrounding areas. This seasonal opportunity is perfect for customer-focused individuals who are eager to deliver service excellence, support store operations, and ensure a positive shopping experience during the busy festive season.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently execute all point of sale (POS) activities, including scanning and processing payments.
• Ensure accuracy when handling cash, vouchers, and clubcard rewards.
• Promote Clicks’ Clubcard programme and enrol new members.
• Provide superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador in store.
• Keep up-to-date with promotions, product ranges, and events to assist customers effectively.
• Maintain merchandising standards, product displays, and general housekeeping.
• Support the Group’s vision of being the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer.

Requirements & Skills

• Education:
  • Essential: Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Desirable: 50% in Mathematics and 50% in English at Grade 12 level.
• Experience:
  • Customer-facing retail/FMCG experience (desirable).
• Knowledge:
  • Basic maths calculations.
  • Stock management and merchandising principles.
  • Customer service excellence.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Planning, organising, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy and numeracy.
• Competencies:
  • Essential: Relating & networking, following instructions, delivering results, meeting customer expectations.
  • Desirable: Persuading & influencing, working with people, coping with pressure.
