Overview:

Sernick Group is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Duty Truck Driver to join our team at the Sernick Feed Factory in Edenvale. This role involves transporting materials and products, ensuring the safety and reliability of the vehicle, and adhering to all relevant driving regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

-Transporting materials and products safely to various locations.

-Delivering products to customers and retailers in different areas.

-Responding to mechanical issues as needed.

-Inspecting the truck for mechanical issues/defects and ensuring safety compliance.

-Preventative maintenance of the vehicle.

-Adhering to assigned delivery schedules.

-Completing all necessary documentation related to deliveries.

-Reporting any hazards or mechanical issues to the supervisor.

-Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a truck driver, specifically with tankers and link trucks.
• Skills: Hands-on experience with mechanical issues, adaptability to unexpected situations, and extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• License: Valid Code EC (Old Code 14) driver’s license and PDP.
• Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Language: Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
• Character: Hardworking with sober habits.
