Overview:

VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd, part of the VKB Agri Processors (Pty) Ltd and a subsidiary of the VKB Group, is a prominent organization in South Africa’s agricultural sector. With operations across multiple locations, including a maize mill in Louis Trichardt, we are looking for a qualified Code 14 Driver to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

-Ensure timely delivery of Super-Sure products to clients, focusing on customer service and volume growth.

-Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery truck at all times.

-Report all incidents and accidents promptly to management.

-Oversee Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation, ensuring all are signed, stamped, and correctly accounted for.

-Monitor fuel consumption and ensure it meets company standards.

• Manage stock control during loading and offloading, ensuring 100% accuracy.
• Supervise crate control, ensuring all trays are accurately loaded and unloaded.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, complete checklists, report defects, and submit them to the fleet controller/supervisor.
• Manage all relevant documents, including PODs, fuel slips, toll slips, and trip sheets.
• Supervise and manage the crew on the truck.

Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 with strong numerical ability and basic computer literacy.
• License: Valid Code 14 driving license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ driving experience, with a sound knowledge of sales.
• Work Environment: Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment, including weekends and public holidays as per the roster.
• Additional Requirements: Clear criminal record.
