Overview

The North West Department of Health invites applications for two (2) Driver II posts at Tshepong Hospital (Provincial Laundry). Successful candidates will provide safe patient and goods transport, ensure vehicles are roadworthy and clean, and keep accurate trip documentation to support hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities

-Transfer patients between health institutions safely and courteously.

-Transport linen, goods and passengers as instructed by the supervisor.

-Take vehicles for routine maintenance and repairs; report defects immediately.

-Keep vehicles clean and in a roadworthy condition at all times.

-Complete and maintain logbooks, trip authorities and related records.

-Report all vehicle damages/losses to the supervisor.

-Comply with traffic legislation, departmental policies and OHS requirements.

Requirements & Skills

-NQF Level 3 / Grade 10 (or equivalent).

-Valid driverโ€™s licence (minimum Code EC) with Public Driving Permit (PDP).

-Five (5) yearsโ€™ proven driving experience.

-Ability to read and write; knowledge of logbook and trip authority completion.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills; customer-focused conduct.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Salary: R163,680 per annum (plus benefits) at Public Service Level 3.
  • Benefits as per Public Service regulations and departmental policy.
