Overview
Overberg District Municipality (ODM) is offering an Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) opportunity for a General Worker to join the Coastal Clean-Up and Maintenance team. The role supports coastal cleanliness, basic infrastructure upkeep, and environmental awareness activities across the district.
Key Responsibilities
-Collect and remove litter along the coastline and surrounding areas.
-Conduct general maintenance of coastal infrastructure as required.
-Assist with garden bedding, site upkeep, and refuse removal.
-Support environmental stormwater stencilling projects and awareness activities.
-Perform any other work-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements & Skills
-Grade 12 (Matric).
-Good physical health; able to work outdoors and in a team.
-Literate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
-Preference will be given to applicants with a valid driverโs licence.
-Reliability, safety awareness, and willingness to follow instructions.
Remuneration
- EPWP rate of R150 per day for the contract period.
