Overview

Western TVET College invites applications for two Cleaner posts to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained college facilities. Appointments will be based at the Corporate Office (Randfontein) and Krugersdorp Central.

Key Responsibilities

-Perform routine cleaning of offices, passages, ablutions, kitchens, and venues.

-Dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning of surfaces and furniture.

-Empty bins, remove refuse, and maintain tidy outdoor/communal areas.

-Care for and correctly use cleaning materials and basic hand tools; report defects.

-Refill consumables (soap, paper, etc.) and assist with venue setup when required.

-Adhere to hygiene standards, safety requirements, and college policies.

Requirements & Skills

-Grade 10 or ABET Level 4 (minimum).

-Knowledge of cleaning and basic maintenance procedures.

-Basic understanding of safety requirements and the use of hand tools.

-Basic numeracy and literacy to read operating instructions and notices.

-Committed, hardworking, able to work long hours/under pressure.

-Good interpersonal relations and clear verbal communication.
